Hawn State Park

One day a few weeks ago (I am still catching up) we planned to go up to the pool, but it was kind of cool.  We decided to pack a picnic lunch and head down the road to Hawn State Park.

Two sweet boys ready to go!

It was perfect weather for a picnic and playing at the park so I was sure it would be packed.  It turns out we were the only ones there.  Several people pulled up while we were there, but they went hiking.

We packed a picnic lunch, so we ate first.

The playground was perfect.  It was the perfect size for Dane to be able to climb and play.

Climbing on the bars

Both boys enjoyed the swings

Reese cracked me up because he would just look around and relax while he was swinging.

Dane decided to move to the bigger swing.

We had the stroller so we couldn't go far, but we took a little walk.

Dane loved running on the trails.  We definitely need to come back and hike sometime.

Reese just relaxed and hung out, as usual.

Running back to the playground

Dane decided he wanted to climb the monkey bars, but needed Mommy's help.

This was the perfect picnic spot close to home.
We definitely plan to go back.

Baby Trey

My brother, T.J., and his wife, Ashley, blessed our family with another sweet boy!
Terry Henderson Rau III, (Trey) was born on Wednesday, June 13th.

I went up to the hospital with my mom and sisters to wait for the baby to arrive.

We were so excited to finally meet the little guy!

It had been a long day for Mommy and Daddy, so Dave stayed at my parent's house with the boys and waited for the news.

Thursday afternoon the boys and I went up to the hospital with my mom and dad.
Dane had been talking about Baby Trey for a few weeks.  I thought he would be confused that we would have another Trey in the family, but he really seem to understand that Aunt Ashley and Uncle T.J. would have a baby named Trey.  He would tell me, "Baby Trey can't play baseball yet like Big Trey can."

Papa held Dane so Uncle T.J. could show him Trey.

He rubbed his back a little.

Then he gave him a soft kiss on the head.

So excited to have another nephew and the boys are excited to have another cousin to add to the fun!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to a great dad that puts the biggest smiles on two boys' faces just by walking in the room!  We are very lucky to have you!

We had a very nice Father's Day together!

What a great way to start the day, with a sleeping baby next to you!  Reese woke up and took his morning bottle.  I put him in bed with Dave to hang out while I jumped in the shower.  When I came out they were both sound asleep.

We started the day off at my parent's house for brunch.  We hung out with everyone for a while, then ran some errands before our second gathering begin.  We ran to Sam's, which in all honestly is one of Dave's favorite things to do so it was the perfect errand to run on Father's Day.  He can look forever in that place.  The boys love it because the carts are big, so they get to side by side.

After our errands we headed to my Uncle Chris and Aunt Janice's house for our traditional Father's Day BBQ.  Boy were the kids wound up!  Dane had a great time playing with his cousins!

I had great intentions of getting a cute picture of Dave and the boys.  I brought outfits to change them into before going to my uncle's house.  It seemed as if someone was either eating, sleeping, or running around wild.

Needless to say, this is my Father's Day picture of Dave with the boys.  Reese was taking a little nap and Dave and Dane were doing something on his phone.

Daddy with his boys!
We hope Daddy had a great day!

A Day at the Park

We spent some time at the park a week or so ago.  Mama, Aunt Katie, Aunt Amy, Delaney, and Trey all joined us!  We ate lunch and then the kids played for a little while.

There was a big walking path that the kids decided to walk around.  Dane talked Laney into picking him up and carrying him back.

The playground is new and Dane loved climbing on it.

Buddies!

After playing the kids got the blanket out and laid down for a bit.

Aunt Katie took Dane to the swings before we headed out.
