Birthday Celebration

Last week was my 40th birthday!
On Saturday, the  8th, Dave had a birthday celebration for me at a local winery.
He invited  my friends from St. Louis, friends from work, and family!

Dave hadn't been feeling well for a few days before the party.  Thankfully he had some help from my mom, sisters, brother, and sister in law with decorations and food.

I had a fun day celebrating with everyone!
Poor Dave went to Urgent Care on Sunday morning and was diagnosed with pneumonia.

My actual birthday was on the 12th.
I had a delicious dinner and DQ ice cream cake with my sweet family.

Snowy Days

Ste Gen has had lots of snow days this year!
As of today we have had 16 days off of school because of snowy or icy roads.

When I am off school I keep the boys home with me.

We celebrated Uncle Darnel's birthday!
 Dressed as firemen
 Watched cartoons in our pjs
 Made heart shaped cinnamon rolls
 Snuggled up and watched movies
One day it started snowing about 11:00 and came down really fast.  During Reese's nap time I let Dane go outside.  He just ran and ran and ran!

During the last big snow Dave had to shovel a path for Max to go outside.  Dane remembered and was trying to shovel a path for Max.
We had a couple of mornings with Dave home.  Dane helped Daddy make sausage and biscuits for breakfast.

 Bundled up to go outside
Watching Daddy use the snow blower

 Reese was ready to go!
 Loving Chili for dinner

 Obsessed with Transformer Rescue Bots!

Last Day In New York!

On Monday morning we woke up at 5:00 to go to the Today Show.  We left our apartment at 5:45.  We weren't too prepared and had to stop by a CVS to get poster board and markers on our way.
We got to security and found out we had to have our poster approved before we went in.  Ashley and mom got something written on it quickly and we got in.

We were hanging out and a security guard came and asked if we wanted to get closer.  He took us up to a section that they film during commercials.
It was neat to watch them do the show.
During commercial breaks the makeup crew came out and touched everyone up.
A friend sent us a picture of us on TV.  Dave taped it and the boys were so excited to see mommy on TV.
After the Today Show we grabbed a quick danish and coffee and walked to see a few sights before heading back to our apartment.  We walked through a charming little area, Tutor City.

We stopped to see the UN Building.

We walked back to our apartment and gathered our luggage, then took cabs to my cousin's apartment near Central Park.  We had a delicious brunch and hung out with my cousin, her husband, and their kids.  We left our luggage there and went to explore Central Park.

We walked all over the park.

We took a little break and had some wine and snacks.

We headed back to our cousin's apartment to catch our ride to the airport.
It was such an amazing Girls Trip!  We are already planning our next one!
