Daddy and Dane Day!

Today Dane's babysitter's little boy was having surgery so she took the day off. Dane got to spend all day with his daddy!

Dave decided to take him up to Kirkwood to go to the Magic House. Dane slept late and was very happy and ready to go this morning.
Dave told me Dane LOVED the Magic House. He ran around laughing the whole time. He was so busy doing everything!

He played in the balls.
Loved the giant mirror!
Drove a little car
Crawled through tunnels
Dave said he was smiling the entire time they were there.
He did some cooking in the kitchen.
was building with big legos
Went down a giant slide
Climbed back up the giant slide
Played in a giant sand table

Ran through more tunnels
Walked on the balance beam and pointed at the people below
He just loved his day with daddy!

A Busy Little Man

Dane is so busy these days! He falls fast asleep as soon as we put him to bed, usually between 7:30 and 8:00. He will chew on a blanket for a few minutes, then grabs a monkey and he is out!
He loves to put our shoes on. Saturday we went up to St. Louis for the annual cookie making.
Dane hung out with me for a bit at my grandma's house while we baked.
He loves to get on this chair. We call this chair "Papa's chair" because it is where my grandpa always sat. Whenever I would spend the night at my grandma's it is where I always hung out.
Dane looked so sweet that my grandma kept feeding him
bits of corn bread and ham and beans from lunch.
Dave picked Dane up about 1:00 so he could go back to Mama and Papa's to take a nap.

Delaney was a busy baker.
Trey stayed busy icing sugar cookies.
Mom, my Mama, and me!
All of the cookie makers....well, minus our little helpers.
Saturday night Mama and Papa babysat for Dane and
Dave and I went out for a date night.
We had dinner and then ran a couple of errands.
We were only gone about two and a half hours,
but it was a nice night out together.

Dane really, really enjoyed his meals today. He had a hotdog for lunch and for some reason we had ketchup.....(we never had ketchup at our house, Dave won't eat it because it has too much sugar and I like BBQ sauce more). I put a little on his plate and he loved dipping his little hotdog pieces in the ketchup. He was a mess when lunch was over!

When I was at the store the other day I saw cranberry sauce. I remember how at Thanksgiving Dane was begging my mom for the cranberry sauce off her plate. I bought some and gave it to Dane with his dinner. He ate a TON of it. Once again though, when dinner was over he had cranberry sauce all over his face.
When I was gathering our things at Mama and Papa's house to come home after Thanksgiving I thought this hat was Dave's and threw it in my bag. When I got home Dave tells me that it isn't his. I had it laid out to take to St. Louis on Saturday and forgot it. Well, Dane loves it. He has worn this hat around all day. I am guessing it is one of his uncle's. We will bring it up with us next weekend.
He sure does look cute in it though.

Breakfast with Santa

Last Saturday we went to Breakfast with Santa at Eckerts. Aunt Kara, Claire, Aunt Amy, Trey, Delaney and Great Grandma all went with us. Mama was planning to go, but she was at the hospital waiting for Baby Knoll to make his appearance.

Dane was soooo hungry. I planned on giving him a small breakfast before we left to hold him over, but with all the excitement of Baby Knoll coming I forgot. Dane ate so much! I felt like I was constantly putting more fruit, sausage, biscuit, and eggs on his plate.
Trey and Delaney worked on their lists to Santa while we waited for breakfast.
After we ate we went to see Santa.

Dane always has to check Santa out for a few minutes.
The kids colored gingerbread men.
Delaney is always helping out her little buddy.
Trey and Claire busy coloring.
He loves the foam stickers!
Delaney and Trey got their faces painted.
Actually Trey decided to get his on his hand.
We tried to get a picture of the boys in their matching sweaters,
but all Dane really wanted to do was to play with Trey's whistle from Santa.
We went to cookie decorating last.
Sweet Delaney was working so hard to make her cookie nice.
Dane loved the shaker of sprinkles.
Claire and Dane both loved the icing!

Trey and Delaney did a great job decorating their cookies.

The messy chef
After cookie decorating we headed out.
Claire and Dane were worn out and slept the whole way home.

Fun Times for Dane

Over the Thanksgiving weekend Dane got to spend some time with some of his favorite people...Aunt Katie, Daddy, and Trey.

Aunt Katie gave Dane a bubble bath on Wednesday night.
Dane LOVES his bubble baths....it is hard to get him out!
Dane played with Aunt Katie when he got up on Wednesday morning.
After they got dressed they went and picked up Dunkin Donuts
and went to visit Aunt Amy, Uncle Darnel, and the kids.
Dane tried on Delaney's hat that she made at school.
Taking a little nap in the carseat so
he would be ready to go visit a friend after lunch.
Aunt Katie and Dane went to visit Tom's nephew and his mom,
Connor and Liz.
He had a fun filled day hanging out with Aunt Katie.
Dane then had a guys day with Daddy and Trey.

They watched cartoons in bed when they got up.
They went to Cabelas to see all of the animals.
They went to Bass Pro and sat on Santa's lap.
Fun days for Dane!
