A Wonderful Weekend

This weekend was a wonderful weekend with family and lots of fun!

I came home to this on Friday afternoon.
So Sweet!

Friday night Dave and I went to the Cardinals Game.  Dave got two tickets to the game and we had a loooong overdue date night!  We had dinner in the Cardinals Club before the game, then sat 7 rows behind home plate with full service food and drink during the game.  It was very nice!

We dropped Dane and Reese off at Aunt Kara and Uncle Steve's house.  Dane was spending the night with Claire and my parents were going to pick Reese up later in the evening and he was going to go home with them.  Dane was so excited to take his spiderman sleeping bag and head to his sleepover.

Popcorn and movie time

They had the best time!

Lots of playing around before bed

Dave and I went back to my parents house to stay after the game.  Saturday my mom and I did some shopping while Dave and the boys hung out with my dad.  The boys took naps and got ready for our celebration on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday afternoon we went to Aunt Katie and Uncle Tom's house to celebrate their 30th birthdays!
Tom's birthday was May 4th and Katie's birthday was today!

We stayed at my mom and dad's Saturday night and spent Sunday hanging out.
The boys played in the backyard and we had dinner on the deck.
I love little Reese's smile these days.  Crinkled little face!

The Frost family went to the Cardinals Game with Delaney and Trey's school on Sunday afternoon.  It was High Sock Sunday at the game.  Delaney gave her socks to Amy and he was so, so excited.  He wanted to wear them to daycare today, but I talked him out of that.  He put them on as soon as we got home this afternoon though.

I had the best weekend with my family and now just 2 days left of school!
ALMOST SUMMER VACATION!

Mothers Day Weekend

I started out the weekend by receiving many wonderful gifts from my students.  Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week.  I received lots of flowers, a bracelet, and chocolate!

Dane was laying in bed reading with his sunglasses on Friday night.

We went to St. Louis on Saturday morning.  Dane and I went to watch Delaney at her gymnastics meet.

 Dane loved watching Laney!

Sunday morning we headed to brunch with my Mom, Grandma, Sisters, Brother, and all of their families.

We were so sad that Papa couldn't come with us on Sunday morning.  Papa had been in the hospital since Friday so we went to visit him after brunch.  We had to put on gowns and robes to go in his room.  Dane was so excited to see his Papa.  This morning on the way to daycare Dane asked if Papa got to go home yet.  I told him probably tomorrow, so then he expected me to take him to the hospital to see Papa right away!

We left the hospital so Papa could get some rest and we came back to Mama and Papa's house.  Dave made bbq for all of us for Mother's Day and we had a relaxing dinner and watched the kids play.

Mama had Turtle Ice Cream Cake for dessert.
Dane loved the cake and I think Reese had to small pieces as well!

This afternoon I had my last training for the school year.  I have had training almost every Monday this year for 3-4 hours after school.  So glad it is over!  Dave wasn't able to get off tonight to get the boys so my sweet neighbor picked the boys up from daycare, took them to the park, got them ice cream from McDonalds, and fed them dinner.  When I went to pick them up they were having so much fun I don't think they wanted to leave!

Our chain is getting shorter....7 days until summer vacation!

A Birthday Party and a Relaxing Weekend

We had a great, very relaxing weekend.  We spent a lot of time at home and since it was so rainy and wet all weekend that was nice.

Friday night I had our school district's end of the year banquet.  Dave usually goes with me, but several of my friends' husbands weren't able to go for various reasons so we decided to make it a girls night out.
When I left the boys were having pizza for dinner and were ready to play with their Daddy all night.
I had a great night out with all of my co-workers!

Saturday morning we got ready to go to a birthday party.  Dane's little friend and our neighbor, Aiden, was turning 4 and having his birthday party at McDonalds and then swimming at the Community Center.
Dane was very excited about the party.

All 5 of these boys were delivered by the same OB, Dr. Jostes.  There is also another mom pregnant with another boy that will also be delivered by Dr. Jostes.

Daddy and Reese hanging out at McDonalds.

I am definitely NOT a cold weather, indoor pool person, but I managed to get in a swimsuit so that little Reese would be able to go swimming also.  The boys had a ball and were full of energy so it was good Dave and I were both in the pool with them.

Reese about 30 seconds after leaving the pool party.

Dane said he only had cake at the party, so since he was such a good listener at the pool we drove through DQ for some ice cream.

Saturday afternoon we played outside for a little bit.  It got cool fast so we weren't able to be out there too long.

Filling the bubble mower with bubbles.

This boy is ready for summer!  He wore his spiderman goggles around for quite a while this afternoon!

Almost May!

I am so happy tomorrow is May 1st.
Only 16 days of school left!
We are soooo ready for our summer off!

Reese hasn't taken a pacifier since he was 4 months old, yet this week our cleaning lady found one and we found another one in the diaper bag.  We also found two bottle stoppers.

The boys sat and read books for about 2 minutes this evening.

Our family loves Luigi's Italian Ice.

I had Friday off to take Reese to his checkup.  It was rainy and chilly all day.
The babysitter was closed on Monday to attend her son's end of the year field trip so Dave took off Monday.  It was 80 and sunny.  He took the boys on a picnic and to play at Hawn State Park.

Random...

Reese is a year and a half.  Dane and I have been talking about his 4th birthday.
I can't believe they are growing up so fast.
My goal is to blog more about our days that are wild and crazy because they are going by too fast!

I took Reese to his 18 month Dr. appointment on Friday.  The construction at Missouri Baptist was insane.  We used Valet Parking because the only parking spot we could find was a mile away.  Dane was a little distressed when they "took" our van away.  We headed up to the appointment.  Dane kept busy on the tablet while Dr. Minnimeier checked out Reese.  He is still going strong at 97% for height and 80% for weight.  I looked back at Dane's records and found that Reese is 4 inches taller than Dane was at 18 months and weighs 3 lbs more!  WOW!  Reese got two shots, but didn't shed one tear!  We made Reese's next appointment, which will be when he turns 2......gosh, 2, already!!  We headed back down to the Valet to get our car.  We shared the elevator with two other couples and I got several comments, "Oh wow, I bet you are busy", "Bless your heart, you look tired!"  Dane was excited to give the lady our ticket to, "bring our car back!"  The couple asked lots of questions about the boys...how old they both were, if I worked, if I kept them full time over the summer.....they seemed very concerned about me, but were very nice about it.  When our van pulled around I put the boys in their carseats and I walked around to my door.  The lady said, "Wow, you can do that fast."  After the appointment we went to my parents house where my mom told me about a class she taught that morning.  She had a mom in the class with a 13 month old and then newborn triplets!  That would have really amazed those couples!

Reese is loving this Cardinals hat and he wears it around the house backwards.

Sweet boys watching TV together.

Dane and I have been having lots of talks about his 4th birthday party.  He has LOTS of ideas about what he wants to do for it......

I am still getting up at 4:20 a.m. to head out to meet my friend for our 4:30 morning run.  We have been doing 2.5 miles about 3 days a week and 5-6 miles on Sunday mornings.  Dane always asks me, "How was your run with your friend, mom?"

I went through all of the boys' summer clothes.  Reese found these batman sandals in his closet.

Dave got this frame made for me when he got the boys' pictures taken a few weeks ago.  We finally got it hung up today.

18 crazy, busy days of school left!  A long list of summer fun is being made!
