Lake Forest Halloween Party

Last Saturday was our neighborhood Halloween Party.

We took Chili.  Dane helped me make it before he took his nap.

My good friend, Grace, always organizes and plans the party and she does such a great job.

Pumpkins for the kids to decorate

The first game Dane played was Pumpkin Bowling.

Dave was working so he couldn't come, Dane was loving all of the games, and Reese was all over the place.  Thank goodness some friends stopped by to see the kids in their costumes.  They entertained Reese for me.

There were a lot of cute costumes for the costume contest.

Dane biggest worry all night was that Reese was walking around.  He kept telling him, "Dogs don't walk, they crawl."

My friends that came to my rescue!

Witches Ring Toss

Pin the Bow Tie on the Skeleton

Casper Bean Bag Toss

Musical Chairs

Dane had a great time.  Both of the boys were so tired when we got home.  Dane thought the party was Halloween.  He kept saying he didn't want Halloween to end.  I had to keep telling him that he still had a daycare Halloween Party and he would get to go trick or treating.

Forest Park Forever

My parents are members of Forest Park Forever.  Every fall they have a Family Fall Fest for their members.  This year it was the day after Aunt Katie and Uncle Tom's wedding.  It was a busy day, but the kids love it so much we got up and ran down to Forest Park so we could be there as soon as it opened.

Dane's main goal was to go on a pony ride.  This little guy loves animals.

He talked to the guy leading the horse the entire time.

There is always a craft to make.  This year the kids decorated canvas bags.

Reese pretty much hung out in his stroller.

He loved playing with Trey.

There was also a little petting zoo, which once again Dane loved!

He kept asking me if he could ride the Llamas.

There was a little fenced in area with little animals.  He was so excited when he saw he could get in the area with the animals.

I was a little worried.  I kept telling him to be gentle.

Before we headed out we stopped at the playground.

Happy Halloween

On Halloween we went trick or treating in our neighborhood with some friends.

Daddy and Reese waiting for our friends.

Dane stood so nice and let me take his picture and as soon as I said, "Great picture buddy", he slid on the floor and said, "Now take my picture like this."

Our friends, Jesika, Mark, and their girls Jaida and Sadie, came to trick or treat with us.

My little dalmation

Our neighborhood mainly has haywagons for Halloween.  We went down to our friends, The Deters, and we all loaded the haywagon.

Reese was so tired all night.  He snuggled on me most of the night.

Towards the end of the evening the kids were wrapping up with blankets.
Both of my boys were out like lights as soon as we got home.

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

One Saturday in October we took the boys to the Pumpkin Patch.  It was chilly and windy and we didn't stay too long, but we had a good time.

Dane played in the fort that I played in when I was little.

Reese loved the big pumpkins.

Dane loved all of the displays.  Everytime I tried to get a picture of him he would look at something else.

As usual getting pictures of my boys together is difficult.......
