Tampa Zoo

On Tuesday we headed to the Tampa Zoo.  Since we are St. Louis Zoo Members we were able to get a discount on our admission...50% off, which made it only $35 compared to $70 for our admission....that was a nice perk!

Dane rode to the zoo with Tom and Deanna.  He was so excited!  The zoo had a lot of fountains to run through so the kids wore their swim trunks.
Dane found a splash pad as soon as we walked in.

We decided to head back to the Safari Expedition first.  We passed a couple of animals on the way.

Loaded in the tram for the Safari

It was a 20 minute ride and we got to see so many neat animals.
Monkeys on top of the wall

We were pretty close to most of the animals and Reese just kept pointing to the animals.

Giraffes in the back ground

After the safari we passed some penguins, which Dane loved!

The Tampa Zoo had several rides.  They are all included in the price of admission so it was fun for Dane to be able to go on whatever he wanted, as many times as he wanted.

Dave and Dane went on the little roller coaster.  They were in the back car.

After a trip around Dane started lifting his arms up and the air and yelling, "Yahooooo!"

 Another splash pad
There was a little petting zoo, which Reese loved.

 The Flying Bananas

Bumper Boats

 Carousel Ride with Daddy

The Tampa Zoo was really neat to visit because it was so different from the St. Louis Zoo.  The boys had a great time and were worn out.  They both fell asleep as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot.

The LONG Drive

On Sunday, July 21st, at 4:00 a.m. we left for our vacation to Tampa, Florida.
Dave and I got everything loaded in the car and then Dave carried the boys to their carseats.  Dane didn't make a peep.  Reese was funny because he woke up as we pulled out of the driveway and was just staring at us.  He talked to himself a bit, then fell back to sleep.

When Dane woke up he said, "Why am I in the van with my pjs on?"

Happy Travelers....most of the time

 Beautiful Scenary

The boys did pretty well on the long trip.  Dave drove and I kept them happy with toys, books, and treats.
They napped on and off.
 Read a bit...
 Snuggled up and watched movies..
We stopped in Valdosta, Georgia for the night.
The boys were so excited to be at the hotel.
Dane didn't want to leave the hotel to eat dinner.

 Everyone slept well.
Reese woke up and got his milk so he was happy.
We headed out with just a short 3 1/2 hours to Tampa.

The boys were so excited when we got there.
We spent the day relaxing.  The boys did a little swimming and a lot of playing.
So cute to see the little ones hanging out.
More pictures to share of all of our fun this past week!
