Thursday afternoon as soon as Dane finished his swim lessons at 1:00 we loaded up and headed to Kirkwood to spend a few days for the 4th of July. We had been on the road less than 10 minutes when I turned around and saw they were both sound asleep. Quiet ride to Kirkwood for Dave and I!
Thursday evening we went with mama, Aunt Amy, and Delaney to the Webster Groves Community Days Carnival. We had dinner first, then were ready to ride some carnival rides.
I am not really a carnival person, but the boys absolutely LOVED the carnival.
They rode the motorcycles together.
Dane rode the bumper cars with Delaney.
Daddy and Reese watching the bumper cars.
Reese went on a little ferris wheel and Dane and Delaney rode a little roller coaster.

Hot Air Balloons!
For the last ride of the night Aunt Amy, Mama, Delaney, Dane, and Reese rode in the giant Ferris Wheel. It was getting late and the rides were all lit up so the boys loved checking out the carnival from high up in the air.
4th of July morning we got up and got ready to go to the Webster Groves 4th of July Parade. This 4th of July was beautiful and we had a great time!

Aunt Amy brought red, white, and blue bags for the kids to collect their candy.

Cousins!
The parade was so much fun for boys to see some of their favorite things....police cars, firetrucks, and neat cars!
After the parade we went back to my mom's to spend the afternoon. The kids played, we snacked on yummy appetizers, and everyone hung out outside because it was so nice.

Amy and I bought matching shirts and didn't know it until Friday morning.
Ready for a delicious bbq!
After dinner we went to Kirkwood Park to watch the fireworks.

Everyone went back to my mom's house for dessert, we were too full to eat before going to the park. The boys were dirty and tired and went to sleep in a heartbeat once they got in bed.
It was a great 4th of July with family!
