The Beginning of our Weekend

Friday afternoon Dave picked up Dane early from daycare. They came home and played and were ready to head to St. Louis as soon as I got home. We were going up to prepare for Aunt Tammy's baby shower this morning. We had Chinese for dinner with Mama, where Dane ate more Fried Rice than anyone in the place, and then ran some errands to pick up some last minute supplies.

Saturday morning I woke up to find Dane in bed with Aunt Katie. Dane spends quite a bit of time playing and talking in his crib when he wakes up in the morning. Aunt Katie heard him talking and couldn't resist going to get him!

We got ready for the Baby Brunch and waited for everyone to arrive.

Dane was the little greeter.

While he was waiting for guests to arrive he read some books with Aunt Tammy.
So excited for Baby Joseph to get here!

Dane had a lot of fun, but was so, so tired!

We thought about staying in St. Louis until it was time for Dane to go to bed, but Mama and Papa had a party to go to, so we decided to head out when they did and get home earlier. We haven't been home on a Saturday night in so long. It was nice! We relaxed and played.

Dane took a long bath and had lots of time to play.

Papa taught Dane how to drink from a cup.

Unfortunately Dane wants to practice by trying to drink the bath water...Yuck!

When I tell him, "Yuck, Yuck" he just laughs!

Dane and Daddy read some books together.

He loves reading with Daddy.

Dane spent quite a bit of time playing, "Where's Dane."

He loves it. He will sit for a while under the blanket.

He will peek out.....

Then jump up to surprise us!

Looks like tomorrow will be a good day for a walk and a trip to the park!
