Our Long Weekend Together

Thursday we were off school for Veteran's Day. We had Teacher's Meetings on Friday, which allowed for lunch out with friends, a relatively easy day, and walking out of school the minute the bell rang instead of having to load buses and wait for them to leave. Saturday and Sunday we had laid back, but fun days! We have really enjoyed the past few days spent together.

Dave was off Thursday as well so we decided to check out some of the Veteran's Day sales.
Dane took a little nap on the way up to prepare for our fun day.
Aunt Katie had meetings with her athletes all day, but just so happened to have a break right at the time we were ready to eat lunch. It was so nice we decided to eat outside. Dave was ordering our food at Qdoba and Dane was patiently waiting and watching for Aunt Katie to pull up.
After lunch we went across the street to Des Pres Park to play for a little bit.
Dane just ran all over the place. He loves school buses and saw one while we were at the park.
He ran around pointing and yelling, "Ba, Ba"
He played in the tunnel.
Saturday morning Dane and I went up to Kirkwood to see Mama and Papa.
Dane had his backpack packed and was ready to go.
Dane has been driving cars all over the house this weekend. He also loves to drive them up and down Mommy and Daddy when we are sitting on the floor.
He gets so excited when he drives them around.
He carried them all over the place.
He loves to dump out his toys and sit on his basket.
Today Dane and I went to a birthday party for the twins, Kady and Kiley, at daycare. Tracey blew up a ton of balloons and had lots of balls and little scooters to play with. Dane ran wild. He loved the scooters. He would usually slide off when he tried to push himself with his feet.
This kid can eat!
Tonight for dinner he had 3 helpings off Spaghetti.I couldn't believe it! He ate spaghetti, peas, and 2 rolls. They weren't huge helpings, but I couldn't believe it when he would eat all of the spaghetti, point to the pot and sign, "more" to me. WOW!
No surprise that his favorite hangout is the pantry.
He will go inside and close himself in. I keep a close watch.
At one point he was trying to grab a bag of chocolate chips!
Our little, wild man makes our weekends so fun!
