Forest Park Forever Family Fall Fest

Mama and Papa have been members of "Forest Park Forever" for several years. We have been lucky enough to join Mama and Papa for the Family Fall Fest they sponsor every year for the members. We were excited when Papa emailed us and told us the Festival was Sunday.

Last year Dane slept through most of the day......
This year he had an absolute ball!

Thanks to Mama, Dave and I were wide awake
and ready for the day.
Mama took Dane with her on her
morning walk Sunday morning,
so we got to sleep an extra hour while they were gone.

Papa and Dane were waiting patiently for the
rest of us to get ready to leave.
Dane enjoyed sitting in Papa's truck while he waited.
The weather was perfect for our day in Forest Park.
Eckerts was there with a pumpkin decorating
activity for the kids.
Dane was so excited when he saw the
big crate of pumpkins.
He picked one out to decorate.
We went to the sticker table to decorate our pumpkin.
Using his sign language to tell me he wanted more stickers.

The guys hung out while we decorated.
Trey and Delaney wanted to paint their pumpkins
so they headed to the paint table.
They had hula hoops, bubbles, and balls
for the kids to play with.
Dane would throw the ball, chase it,
and throw it again.
He ran all over.

Daddy and Dane waiting for a pony ride.
Dane held on to Daddy's finger as he rode around on the pony.
Delaney went around on the bigger horse.
Trey during his ride.
We stopped to play on the playground for a little bit.
Our final stop was for a carriage ride around Forest Park.
Papa and Dane were watching for the carriage.

Mama and Dane
The cousins waiting patiently.

Finally our carriage came.
Dane sat next to me and was so still during the ride.
The ride through Forest Park was gorgeous.
Dane was watching the horses pull the carriage.
He was ready for a nap.
He barely made it through the ride.
The minute we put him in his carseat he was sound asleep.
Dane had a good nap and
recharged for birthday dinner for Papa and Uncle T.J.
He played hard with his cousins.

We had a delicious dinner and then had two cakes.
A carrot cake for Papa.
A silly angel food cake for Uncle T.J.
The birthday boys!
Dane enjoyed a little piece of each cake.
And then it was bath time.
It took Dave and I forever to pack up the car.
Dane might have come home a little spoiled after spending 3 nights with his grandparents and seeing his aunts, uncles, and cousins!

It was a fun, fun, busy, busy weekend.
We were dragging a bit on Monday morning!
