Dane's First Month

During Dane's first month we made weekly trips to the pediatrician's office to check his weight. He weighed in at 7 lbs when we left the hospital. One week later he was 6 lbs, 14 oz. Two weeks later he was 6 lbs, 15 oz. Finally, after three weeks we saw some gain at 7 lbs, 3 oz. At his one month appointment he was 8 lbs, 8 oz!

At one month:

**Dane was sleeping in his own room in his crib. We had to move him out of our room at about three weeks because he is a VERY noisy sleeper. He cries out a couple of times during the night, sometimes for a couple of minutes, then falls right back to sleep. I would hear him cry and get up to turn on the bathroom light so I could see him, by that time he would be back to sleep. The problem was I didn't fall back to sleep quite as quickly!

**Dane was eating 4 oz every three hours.

**Dane was still wearing newborn clothes and wearing newborn diapers.

**Daddy was still on paternity leave from work. We took lots of rides when we really couldn't go in anywhere.

**Mommy's work had a party and Daddy brought Dane to meet all of the teachers. (Aug. 5th)

**We visited Daddy's work to meet his friends. (Aug 5th)

**Was FINALLY able to take regular baths after 2 weeks of sponge baths. Daddy gave Dane his first bath. (Aug 9th)

**Mommy had to go to work for two days so Daddy had Dane all to himself ALL DAY! (Aug. 11th and 12th)

**Mommy, Daddy, and Dane went to go meet Miss. Sue, the babysitter. (Aug. 14th)

**Mommy, Daddy, and Dane went to the Lynott's to meet Baby Thomas. Dane and Thomas are only 20 days apart...sure to be great friends! (Aug. 15th)

**First overnight at Mama and Papa Rau's house. (Aug. 18th)

**Daddy went back to work (Aug 20th)

**One month dr appointment on August 21st.

**First babysitter- Aunt Katie and Aunt Amy and Uncle Darnel babysat while Mommy and Daddy went to a party. (Aug 21st)
